A Summer of Author Talks!

Every Tuesday at 6:30 pm we will host an author talk presentation in the Abbott Room:

June 20th- Aislinn Sarnacki , will give an illustrated talk about her new book, Family Friendly Hikes in Maine

June 27th- Kenneth C. Davis , Learn some “Hidden History” about World War I from Historian Kenneth C. Davis, whose upcoming book is about the hidden history of World War I and the Spanish Flu.

July 11th- Tom Wessels , author of the new book, Granite, Fire & Fog: The Natural and Cultural History of Acadia

July 18th- W.H. Bunting, Kevin Johnson, and Earle G. Shettleworth. Jr. , authors of  MAINE ON GLASS: The Early Twentieth Century in Glass Plate Photography.

July 25th- Barbara Kent Lawrence, will talk about her new book, The Other Island: Ben’s Story

August 1st- Richard Rubin, will discuss his new book, Back Over There: One American Time-Traveler, 100 Years since the Great War, 500 Miles of Battle-scarred French Countryside, and Too Many Trenches, Shells, Legends and Ghosts to Count.

August 8th- Derek J. Lovitch, will present an illustrated talk about his new book, Birdwatching in Maine: A Site Guide

August 15th- Jennifer Wixson ,author of The Sovereign Series , will preview the next book in the series Maggie’s Dilemma (Book 5 in The Sovereign Series).

August 22nd- Deborah Joy Carey, will read from and discuss her new memoir, Settling Twice: Lessons From Then and Now
