A booklark is the finder of forgotten objects hidden inside books. In the 1960s, Jane Haskell looked inside her mother’s 1910 Register of the Towns of Sedgwick, Brooklin, Deer Isle, Stonington and Isle au Haut to see if her grandparents were included. All were listed as “pl” for pupil! Even more interesting, however, were the pieces of paper tucked between those pages and notations.
