The popular writing workshop, “Jumpstart Your Writing in the New Year,” led by Linda Buckmaster, will meet on Saturday , January 24,  January 31, 10:30 to 12:30 in the Abbott Room. We’ll start writing right away to shake out our sluggishness, fear, or feeling of being stuck this time of year. Whether you are a newbie or a published author; a novelist, poet, essayist, or something in between; in the middle of a long project or don’t know how to get started,  this workshop will help you get past your “stuckness.”

We’ll use experiments of all kinds and the writers’ “tool kit” to loosen winter’s grip on our creativity. Our goal for the day will be progress, not perfection, and you will leave with some ideas for your next steps.

Linda Buckmaster’s writing has appeared in over forty journal and anthologies. She is the author of four books—poetry, memoir, and hybrid. Her most recent is Journey Waters: Poetry. Prose. Place.
