The volume of visitors at CHSP, combined with the erosive force of strong rainstorms, renders our trails rougher, muddier, and generally less pleasant over time. But there are things the Park is doing to slow and even reverse these effects, and to combat invasives too, and you can help! CHSP Trail Supervisor Erik Brooks will discuss the simple things hikers can do to protect and improve trails while enjoying a hike or run, as well as further ways to get involved with maintenance and rehabilitation efforts, or with other projects to beautify the Park such as planting lilies.
