At the Belfast Free Library the entire second floor is a space for children and teens. This welcoming place is filled with a broad collection of books, audiobooks, creative play materials, and digital resources. Our friendly staff is here to help kids, parents, caregivers, and educators find the materials they need and the stories they’ll love!

BFL Cartooning Club

Tuesdays 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.


Explore drawing techniques and exercises to develop the imagination: Comic strips, autobiographical illustration, transforming stories to sequential art, and more. All skill levels are welcome and encouraged. Drawing materials provided. Recommended for ages 10+.

 

 

Ghost Hunting
Liza Gardner Walsh

Wednesday, October 24th at 6:00p.m

Join Liza for a discussion of her book Ghost Hunter’s Handbook. Kids will get some tips about how to be a good ghost hunter, learn how to tell a spooky ghost story, and then will investigate the library for any possible hauntings. Make your very own electroscope to take home for help in your supernatural pursuits. Recommended for kids in grade 3 and up.
