Growing English and French Lavenders in Midcoast Maine
Lorie Costigan, owner of Glendarragh Lavender Farm, will discuss English and French lavender species and the growing conditions ideal for cultivating these long-lived beauties in the Midcoast.

Lavender scents and scenes await you midwinter as we travel to Lori’s and her family’s 26 acre farm in Appleton via her photo slides. On the acreage they raise, harvest and dry a dozen varieties of this herb near an oak treed site along the St George River. Since 2007 they have busily planted hundreds of these plants in this fertile soil.
