Planting for Pollinators with Katherine Garland, University of Maine Extension

In this program, University of Maine Extension horticulture professional Kate Garland will offer tips for promoting pollinators, which play a key role in the health of our gardens and our ecosystems. She’ll discuss best landscape management practices, as well as ways to provide food, habitat, and water resources for pollinators and introduce the Pollinator Friendly Garden program.
At Maine Extension, Garland’s work has involved supporting home, school, and community gardening efforts in Penobscot and Aroostook Counties. She holds a bachelor’s degree in botany and master’s degree in horticulture from the University of Maine.
