Weed Identification and Management

Weeds are a constant problem. They compete with garden crops for nutrients, moisture, and sunlight; they can reduce the quality and yield of fruits and vegetables; and they affect the enjoyment of the landscape.
Extension Professor Donna Coffin will help us learn how to identify weeds and the management methods that can minimize the impact of weeds. We will review several methods, including physical destruction, competition, mulching, biological control and herbicides (organic and non-organic).
