Book Launch for Humor Columnist and Essayist, Eddie Adelman

All are invited to an in-person talk and reading in celebration of the release of Eddie Adelman’s new collection of essays and columns Don’t Get Me Started.

Although most of the essays are of a humorous nature, some display a more serious tone. Don’t Get Me Started spans 24 years and includes 35 of Adelman’s best columns and essays.

In 2002 and 2003 Adelman had his own weekly column in the Portland Press Herald. Since 2013, dozens of his essays have appeared on the Op-Ed pages of the Bangor Daily News Also, from 1998 – 2003 Adelman was a guest commentator on Maine Public Radio’s “Maine Things Considered” evening newscast, reading his essays aloud over the air. One of those essays won the “AP Award for Writing in Broadcast Journalism” in 1999.

The book also contains four one-act plays that Adelman has written dating back to 2007. Adelman’s plays have been performed in Los Angeles, Portland and Belfast, Maine. Two of the plays were featured at The Maine Playwright’s Festival in 2019 and 2020.
