Should Belfast Declare a Climate Emergency?

Declaring a Climate Emergency is one forceful way that a city can add urgency and specific action to the task of addressing the climate crisis. The voices of students and youth are essential.

At our meeting on February 10, we heard from student and youth leaders who have advanced Climate Emergency resolutions in Bar Harbor, Portland and South Portland. On March 9, we want to hear from Belfast residents, including students and youth about whether they want to pursue a Climate Emergency declaration here.
