It’s a Dog’s Life – with Dan Miller: The story of Belmont Boatworks.
Just a few miles from Belfast are a group of dogs seemingly running one of the areas best boatyards. Their owners are a crew of 16 talented tradesmen and women who make up Belmont Boat Works. Their leader and founder is Dan Miller, a familiar face to most everyone in Belfast along with his giant St. Bernard Gloria, who goes everywhere with Dan, ostensibly supervising the activities at hand.
On Tuesday, March 19th Dan will give a talk on the history of Belmont Boat Works, from its humble start as a small carpentry, one work space shop to the huge facility it is today, plus tales of some of the most interesting projects he and his gang have undertaken.
