“Away from Her” (2006) should appeal to those who care about the love in a long-standing marriage. It is the story of a long-married Canadian couple as they cope with the wife’s (Julie Christie) decision that she must go to live apart because of her Alzheimer’s. As the film progresses, the husband finds the physical separation has diverged into a quiet separation of affection, as his wife finds other relationships in her nursing home. Directed by Sarah Polley, an actor and director who will be featured again in April. In English.
