Lost in America (1985) Talk about a mid-life crisis. Two middle-aged, 1980’s yuppies decide to quit their L.A. jobs, liquidate their assets, and travel the country in a Winnebago with their $100,000 nest egg. Albert Brooks convinces his wife (Julie Hagerty) that they were born to be wild. “Just like in Easy Rider.” The plan works like a charm until… they stop in Las Vegas. Turns out, one of them has a latent gambling problem. Say goodbye to the nest egg. If you’re a fan of dry wit, you do not want to miss this one. It’s pure Albert Brooks.
