Friends of the Library Card and Games Party

Fun and Games to support the Friends of the Belfast Free Library

Once again folks will gather for a Card and Games party at 1pm on April 21^st at
St. Margaret’s Church.

All are welcome to come and join the fun. This is a time for friends to come together and play bridge, canasta, gin rummy, mahjong, backgammon, chess— any game that can be played at a table. They will also enjoy non-stop refreshments and the chance to win a wonderful raffle prize.
The fee of $10 per person goes to the Friends of Belfast Library to help toward the purchase of books, equipment, programs; anything to make the library even more valuable to the residents of the Belfast area. Recently the Friends have purchased new colorful chairs and stools as well as a fish tank for the Children’s Department, an early literacy computer program for the children, supported a Maine Writers program and a number of other items and programs.
Plan to get a table of friends to spend an enjoyable afternoon and at the same time support the work that the Friends of the Library do to enrich our community Library.
Reservations are required, so please call Juliet Baker at 338-4118 or Francine Brown at 338-2197 to reserve a your table. Juliet or Francine might be able to help you find some others to join your game.
