Giving Context to a Photograph: In Praise of Newspapers

In this presentation, Deborah Nowers will explain how the discovery of a photograph led to a quest to learn about basketball and the players in her family.

Deborah Nowers is the Membership Secretary for the Maine Genealogical Society and the State Registrar and Penobscot Expedition Chapter Registrar for the Daughters of the American Revolution. She has published research articles in the NEHG Register, The Essex Genealogist, The Mayflower Descendant, and The Maine Genealogist, as well as American Ancestors magazine.
