Environmental scientist Catherine Schmitt from the Schoodic Institute discuss the Landscape of Change, a collaborative project to publish and compile historic records on birds, pollinators, water temperature, sea levels, and weather, with the goal of identifying trends in the Acadia region. She’ll speak on what’s been learned about MDI’s changing landscape so far, the value of collaboration for monitoring the climate crisis, and the ways everyone can participate in understanding landscapes of change.

This program is part of the 2023 Belfast Garden Club Evening Lecture Series presented in collaboration with All of Belfast Climate Dialogues, a project of the Belfast Free Library.
