Midcoast Exploration of Consciousness Meeting

The topic tonight is neuroaesthetics (island number 3 in our four island sequence), but to start us off, Tom Foster will give us a brief lecture on the role of sound in human survival, which relates to music and the brain on the one hand and information and consciousness on the other. We will also have with us musicologist Henry Wyatt to give insight into the aesthetic dimensions of music.
