Rick Sawyer will talk about his experience as a nursery owner and propagator and share his knowledge and passion for native and woodland plants. Rick and his wife, Denise, run Fernwood Nursery in Montville, Maine.

A lifelong plant enthusiast, Rick Sawyer has owned Fernwood Nursery for 30 years and is well known for his extensive collection of hosta, including over 20 of his own introductions. In addition, Rick has provided gardeners with a wide selection of ferns, native plants, and ‘choice’ rarities from around the globe.
