“The Lost Half Hour”

Original version of a charming tale by Maine author Henry Beston. The unlikely hero is Bobo, a kind-hearted possum who simply has no sense. He works for a buzzard, Princess Zenza, who sends him off to find the half hour that she lost by oversleeping. He meets odd characters who’ve lost things, too, including a little gnome who’s lost his temper. What else? A friendly cook, a dragon, 12 rabbits, a cup of wisdom and a horse that flies as fast as time. Bobo gains a bit of wisdom from Father Time and finds out that “ It takes time to grow, time to be a friend, and when time is full of life, it’s never lost.”
