Revolutionary War Era Book Discussion

The Belfast Free Library will partner with the Game Loft to host a community book discussion series on the theme of the American Revolutionary War and its impact on midcoast Maine. The books to be read and discussed are, Come Spring, by Ben Ames Williams and The Reverend Jacob Bailey: Maine Loyalist, by James S. Leamon. Each of the four discussions will be facilitated by a scholar and will be held Thursday afternoons beginning March 10, from 3-5pm in the Abbott Room of the Belfast Free Library.

This first discussion will be facilitated by Liam Riordan, Professor of History , University of Maine, Orono and Director of the UMaine Humanities Center. Professor Rirodan will put the books in historical context with the discussion focusing on the time period and location.
